Meyer Lemon Tree Flowers

I grew up some of these Meyer-Lemon trees from seeds that S. brought back from Connie’s Mom’s house.

This plant I pruned back pretty severely after it got seriously leggy.

…and then … one day, S. noticed some strange purple things on one branch.

Could those be … buds?!?!

Yes!

We watched them get longer and longer and longer…

…Pinocchio buds.

…and then all of a sudden:

Bang! It’s open!
