Opals from Opal Hut (link to their site)
Just a random slab chip that they sent me gratis!
This guy has, around each of the three main opal places, the
very dark / black stuff that really enhances the opalescence.
I reckon it’s “ironstone” (which must be arbitrarily close to hematite).
